Thing 4: Part 2

Thing 4: I was able to find a few of my friends' teacher blogs, so I can see examples of how to create my own. They update their homework daily and they have added many features to their blog such as podcasts. They use wordpress.com instead of google. What are the differences and similarities between these 2? Is one easier than the other to use?

  1. Both are similar. Ask your friends about Wordpress. I believe that teachers can create log ins for students without needing and email. You don't need to sign in to Blogger, but if you keep it open for comments, then it is open to anyone in the world. I would ask your friends why they use Wordpress. All of the blogging products are great, and when you learn the skills, like embedding code, you can transfer the skills to any type of blogging account.

  2. My friends teach in Darien, and the school sets up their blogs. They are linked directly to the school's website and they are primarily used to post homework. But, teachers with more experience also post podcasts, audio files and videos from students as well as linking useful websites.
